Esmes has been established in Kings Meadows for over 30 years. After a couple of site and ownership changes it is now firmly settled at 120 Hobart Road, conveniently located in the middle of the Kings Meadows Shopping Centre, with easy access from both the front and rear of the building. Plenty of off-street parking is available at the rear of the store.

Owners Lillian and Terry Atkinson purchased Esme’s in 2004. It was a practical move for Lillian having been quilting for 20 years (Terry jokes that there was no more room at home, Lillian needed the shop!) and a logical extension of her experience and skills.

With too many completed quilts to list (too, too scary to add up!) Lillian has designed her own quilts, taught many classes, won challenges, attended numerous classes and lectures with both Australian and international tutors and has earned a reputation for her wonderful colour sense.

While the main focus is patchwork and quilting, the business stocks an extensive range embroidery requirements, haberdashery and knitting yarns. An extensive range of classes are offered, all being held on-site in the attached recently renovated building.
