Please check out the latest classes. Samples of these class articles are available in the shop, so if you are interested please call in and discuss the classes with us. A large range of new and different patterns are now available. A lot of these have resulted from my visit to the Australian Quilt Market last November. These include patterns from Design House Quilts, Ella and Skysie and a new quilt as you go from Helen Stubbings of Hugs ‘n Kisses called ‘Nice Things, Nice People’.

‘Nice Things, Nice People’ is proving to be very popular. Helen’s quilt has been hanging in the shop for some time but I have now had to pass it on to another shop. Fortunately Kim has been working very hard on our copy and it is now hanging for you to come and admire, so please call in and see it for yourself. Kim has done an excellent copy and it really helps to see it in the flesh. This is also a block of the week featuring the “Love is” range of fabric and a new BOM from Leanne’s House called Butterfly Garden now available. Ask to see the first blocks.

New books by Natalie Bird and Annie Downs as well as numerous strip piecing books have been selling fast. Natalie’s quilt ‘From the Heart’ is available in kit form. New patterns from Bronwyn Hayes of Red Brolly are “Songbird’ and “A quilt for a Daughter”.

For those of you who love flannels we have a new range from Maywood Fabrics, Sweet Romance. These are available off the bolt or as a Sweet Sixteens pack containing 33 Fat 16’s. A new quilt featuring these lovely fabrics is currently under construction.

In stock are many new Jelly Rolls and Charm squares, complimented by books and sample quilts to give you many ideas for their use.

Lots of other new fabrics in including a new children’s panel called “Round the World”, lovely pink and green fabrics from the Veranda range, Noah’s Ark by Jim Shore, sixteen pieces of Cupcake fabric, called Party Time by Makower just in this week and many more that I have missed. Our Bali range has grown to almost 100 bolts. 1” and 1/2” bias bindings in lovely checks, spots and stripes are now available by the metre.

If you need a gift or just a special treat we have new Gutermann and Dritz Collectors Tins containing threads and small sewing kits.

As you can understand this has been a very exciting and busy time, so next time you are in the shop check out all the new quilting and embroidery books that I haven’t mentioned, my new displays and the new samples that I am currently working on.

New Fabrics just in!

We are excited to welcome you to our brand new website, one of the many improvements we have planned for the next 12 months. We have had a great 2007 with lots of new people into the shop, great classes with wonderful tutors, too many new fabrics to mention and our most exciting purchase – our new quilting machine.

Lillian has recently returned from a buying trip with lots of new fabrics, patterns and kits, drop in to see her and get a sneak preview of what is expected to come in over the next few months.
